JAZZ ASSEMBLEA 2026

Jazz Assemblea is an invitation to come together and celebrate the life and people of jazz in Malta. Presented by the National Agency for the Performing Arts (NAPA), this year’s festival is dedicated to the memory of jazz pianist and composer Lino Cauchi.

Malta’s jazz history is shaped by musicians who have inspired and supported one another across generations. From the clubs of Strait Street to the stages of today, these connections have built a lasting musical community whose stories form an essential part of our cultural heritage.

Bringing together over 70 musicians across 20 concerts, Jazz Assemblea celebrates this community through a programme that also includes a feature documentary, an open discussion and a workshop. The festival offers an opportunity to listen, discover and connect through music, honouring Lino Cauchi’s memory while celebrating the people shaping jazz in Malta today.
